This fall, I'll be participating in a very special and powerful event in the fight against breast cancer. It's called the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day. I'd like to tell you about it.

I'll walk 60 miles from Bear Mountain to Manhattan with 3,000 other courageous people to raise money for breast cancer. The net proceeds will support the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade's mission to fund access to care and find and cure for breast cancer, with a focus on medically undeserved women.

I've agred to raise $1,900 in donations by April 15, 2002. But I need your help! Would you please consider making a fully tax-deductible donation to help me meet my goal? Please keep in mind how far I'm walking - and how hard I have to train for the 3 day walk between now and October.

This year, according to the American Cancer Society, over 182,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Over 40,000 will die. This disease has impacted my family. That's why I plan to walk the distance: To do something bold about breast cancer. I hope that you'll share this incredible adventure with me - by supporting me in my fundraising efforts!
